I never learned to play the piano and though I liked the idea of the cello, it never came up. Ten years ago I decided to pick up my own instrument, one that had always interested me. One I could pack around in my purse and access anytime. It's called, the harmonica. I practiced with such dedication; honed a technique with the misfortune of being called "tongueing".
Shortly after my musical endeavor I moved to Chicago and other things became my priority. But I think I'm ready to pick it up again. My original harmonica has long been misplaced so when Nate and I went into the music store to purchase guitar stands, I picked up a shiny new harmonica.
My goal is to play along with Nate as he strums Radiohead on the guitar. We'll do our own version of "fake plastic trees" that will soon be the envy of our friends and family.
