RUINED MUSIC

Sharon just blogged about this at Copycat This. I linked to her blog from Jordan's ever popular Oh Happy Day. I thought it was a fun concept and wanted to share.

We all have ruined music. Whether it reminds us of an exboyfriend/girlfriend, bad roommates, or a yucky roadtrip. I can't listen to Brad. Particularly "Day Brings" from the Interiors album. Weezer is equally painful to listen to. Especially, "Say it Ain't So" and "Surf Wax America". And yes, I did go through a country phase when I lived in Montana for two years. I can no longer listen to Garth Brooks sing "Thunder Rolls". Foo Fighters make me want to throw up.

Anyway, please share your ruined music here. Apparently if you share it, you can free yourself from the bonds of past memories and once again, embrace the music you used to loved. C'mon mom, I know you've got some!

Many an afternoon has been ruined by old radio bringing back the torturous days of school and church dances. Boyz to Men's, "End of the Road", Seal's "Kiss from a Rose", and I don't know who sings it but I hate them with a hate that burns deep within, "I Swear".

"Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins. Wasted on, and ruined by the same.

Anything by Jack Johnson. The fact that crap face actually attempted to play it on his guitar didn't help either.
