CELEBRITY FRIEND: YAHOO FOR SHANNON

I have a famous friend. I met Shannon in Missoula while she was in grad school and I was being paid way too little at an advertising agency there. She wore these great red braids and a cool knit hat atop her adorable head. I think I can speak for both of us; the moment we saw each other we knew we'd be freinds. I'm sure it was even openly discussed that night.
Well, wouldn't you know it, ten+ years later Shannon is a successful writer with several titles published and translated into many languages and recorded as audio books. She's, well, a celebrity.
All hail Shannon Hale. I'm sure you've heard of her. She's the author of Goose Girl, Princess Academy, Enna Burning, and River Secrets. And I know she's got much more coming. You can learn about Shannon here, along with discovering just how revered she is as a writer.
My claim to fame is that I know Shannon. She likes me and she calls me, lovingly, Tonn Tonn. I love you Shannon. And I can't wait to be a stepford wife with you.

No, I love YOU, Tonn Tonn. I've had such a crush on you since the first day I saw you playing fusball. I said to myself, Now that girl has sass! I need some more Tonn in my life. You should come over for dinner. Maybe I'll even cook. I'm not promising anything, but I can make Hungarian goulash. Seriously, I can. And it's even edible. Pretty much.

I'm sure everyone is super jealous of the fact that Shannon Hale actually posted a comment on my blog. But that's the way it goes.
Shannon, Hungarian goulash sounds very complicated and I'm planning to come over and enjoy it whenever I'm invited (after I get back from Paris).

Hungarian goulash is good-hopefully Shannon's version will attest to the beauty of international food. That was a nice tribute to a great author-we're trying to get Goose Girl chosen as a book group selection. Maybe someday I'll start up my blog again thanks to people like you and Shannon and Ladygoat (who has a great blog called Foodgoat).

Thanks for your comment Jean. I'll have to check out Foodgoat. If Shannon's goulash is anything like her writing I'm in for a delicious treat! Good luck getting Goose Girl in your book group.
