GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL

Yesterday Jordan mentioned National Novel Writing Month and the challenge of writing a 50,000 word novel by the end of November. Broken down this is roughly 1,700 words per day. It's not a contest {except with yourself} and as far as I know there isn't a winner {if you submit 50,000 words by midnight on Nov. 30 - you are considered a success}.
I'm already a day behind, but I know my first sentence. "Still, they continued to talk of spiders." I'm pretty sure Nate thinks I won't do it which is just enough motivation to do it and do it well. Maybe I'll do 60,000 words just to show him.
