I love the idea of a butter yellow, luxe velvet, 96" long couch to go in my great room. In combination with the dark walnut floors and the pretty blue walls with white trim, I thought the yellow would be perfect. But then reality struck. We will have visitors. And our visitors will have children. And since the great room is just steps away from the kitchen and breakfast nook I'd hate to yell at someone else's child for rubbing brownies all over my pale and pretty couch.
Nate and I sate down lastnight and looked at my dream couch and then I made a concession. If I can keep the style then I'm willing to change the fabric and color. The color isn't as pretty online but in reality it's a pretty medium-grey faux suede. The good thing is that this fabic, once scotchguarded, will be a dream to keep clean. And then I'll remain friends with all the children in my life. Everyone wins! {couch can be found at wshome.com}.
For anyone who doesn't want to do the math...96" is eight feet. This couch is eight feet long.
