Nate and I did some shopping on Friday night - picked up birthday gifts for my sister, my grandma, James and Peyton. I think we did well on all counts. After shopping we watched the last episode of 24 {missed due to the Sundance Festival}, and called it a night.
Saturday we quickly packed for the rest of the weekend, threw on our ski clothes and hit the Alta slopes. The weather was beautiful and the snow was, well, perfect. Early afternoon brought some intense winds - sending stinging sprays of snow and gravel into our faces. Nate took the time to help me create a discriminating line through the mogels and they now take on a much less negative presence for me. At 3pm we packed it in and drove to Logan for my Grandma's surprise birthday party.
We spent the rest of the evening visiting the Congers and the Thompsons, enjoyed a good night's sleep, dined on omlets and candy {my parents have apothecary jars full of candy} Sunday morning, loaded our car and drove home. The evening was complete with laundry and packing. I'm off tomorrow for five days of Texan fun.
