THIS IS...
I'm intrigued by the series of "This is" books by Miroslav Sasek. With stories about big cities and charming illustrations, this series dates as far back and the 1950s and can be quite expensive to collect. Sasek died all the way back in 1980. But oh, just think about it. Imagine the shelves in your nursery stocked with these stories. I'm sure the bebe would grow up with an urge to travel the world.

I adore these books. My boys seem to enjoy reading them, but I love, love, love them.
The This is San Francisco one is my standard baby gift to my friends in the city.
shut it! i just purchased the entire stock of these books on amazon (yikes $200 later) they are amazing and i cant wait to have a baby so i can put them in his/her nursery.
wish there was a THIS IS CHICAGO book for us out here :0)
I love these books. I wish I had enough energy to collect the originals.
