FOREVER 21: AT 36

When will I be too old to love stuff from forever21? I've made Nate swear that if I ever walk out of the bedroom wearing something CLEARLY too young for me, he'll say so. Until then, bring on the forever21!

Ha ha! I always wonder that myself!

I think it's only certain clothes that could look too young for people. T-shirts with captions can be inappropriate for certain ages. If I saw a pretty 50 year old woman wearing any of those forever 21 shirts, I'd think she was cool. But if she was wearing a t-shirt that said "Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me?", I think I'd puke! Go ahead, wear whatever you want. I think your fashionably safe!

Don't worry, my mo-in-law still shops there sometimes, and can totally get away with it. I love that store. You don't have to think twice when you see the price.

My husband always makes fun of me for shopping there, he says, "does it make you feel 21?" when I walk out with my purchases...

I don't mean to be sour grapes, but I just can't get past the whole ruffles-down-the-front look....it looks like my grandma. Or my ancient grade school librarian. Those looks are anything but young.

The ruffles say less "young" to me and more "french". I love the feminine touch they add to an otherwise boring old button up.

I do buy at Forever 21, sometimes when I'm pushing the stroller around in there I feel a little inappropriate...but what the hell, it's a deal!
