THANK YOU TLC!

TLC really feeds my guilty pleasure appetite. Case in point. Tonight I saw a program called Purity Balls and became curious by the title alone. Well, bless all the fundamental Christians out there that continue to freak me out more and more every day. Fathers "owning" their daughter's purity is just super twisted. All the fake smiles make me almost as sad as little girls in beauty pageants.

I missed the purity ball one, but I did happen to catch a special TLC last night which was a follow up about a documentary they did years ago on baby pageants, all the girls are 17 now. I recorded it and can't wait to watch it!

Sounds a little creepy. Like those weird Duggars people.

Read the article. Very interesting contrast shown between very conservative religious groups and teen pregnancy.
It's supported with what we saw happening around Sarah Palen. While the liberals were offended by her daughter's pregnancy, the conservatives actually supported her. What a mixed message!!
