HOTEL FOR ROACHES

I'm staying at the Marriott in Dallas. After a long flight and a long planning meeting I stepped out onto my patio to clear my head before bed and spent the next few minutes jockeying with a cockroach for the upper hand. I couldn't help but ask the question, if a cockroach made it all the way up to the 16th floor balcony, couldn't he also be clever enough to find a way into my room and crawl down my throat when I reach REM and start mouth breathing?
As a result I slept with my head burrowed under covers. Woke up with the morning sweats. I REALLY hate the roach. REALLY.

The roach might like it better under the sheets...

Ugly little [no big] bugger...happy you won the war Tonia. Everything grows bigger in Texas...good seeing you and Nate, and of course Agnes....she is a doll.

Totally understand the completely rational thoughts you were having! Ew.

Anyone for sure will hate seeing those in their house. They'll only give us sickeness. Cockroaches love staying in dirty and smelly places, like if your carpet is dirty, expect that cockroaches and other insects and germs will stay there. You really need to clean your carpet. You can use a vacuum and other carpet cleaning products. Some people hire a cleaner for carpet cleaning (Elk Grove, for example, has a lot of reputable carpet cleaning services), just to have a proper maintenance fot their carpet.

Proper cleaning is a must if you want your home to be cockroach free.

Scarier than going down your throat, is that roatches have the inability to go backwards. If the crawl in your ear they can't back out. I heard this a week before seeing my first one at a resort in Tucson. I didn't sleep the whole night.

I agree with what Samuel said. Hotels should exert all efforts to exterminate roaches, or they’ll lose customers in the long run. One thing they can do is to meticulously clean their carpets, since these often serve as a “nursery” for the roaches’ eggs.

Not only hotels, Henry, but everyone should clean their carpets regularly to prevent allergens and airborne bacteria from thriving in the dark recesses of our carpets. This one goes out especially to those who have kids at home. As parents, we want the best for our kids, right? Right. :)

ughh...I despise roaches. If you're a hotel and you can't keep your establishment clean then you shouldn't be in business. Get your money back!
