Remember the scene in Signs, starring Joaquin Pheonix and Mel Gibson, when you can sense the aliens are coming because the water glasses start to ripple? Yeah, me too.
Baths are a part of my daily routine. They are warm and relaxing and for just a small moment in time, I can move more gracefully than, say, when I'm getting out of bed or wrestling my way out of a lounge chair. The water makes me light weight and I can shift from one position to the next with ease. If the entire earth was a bath tub I'd celebrate how easy it would be for me to swim to Home Depot right now (elegantly, I might add) to get a bag of Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil.
This morning, like many other mornings, I was sitting in the bath reading a magazine, enjoying the fact that I don't have to be at work anymore. The sun was coming in thru the window, Nate was playing some good tunes that I could hear from his office, and then it happened. Like the water glasses in Signs, my tub water started rippling. But it wasn't an M. Night Shyamalan alien that was causing the ripples. It was Clementine. Practicing her drum solos again. She can now move heaven, earth, AND water.
