I've decided I need a casual coat. Utah is so cold and though I have a perfect black mid-length coat from JCrew, I need something to wear on days when I'm not dressed up. I wear my JCrew coat so often the lining is starting to shred.
I really like this coat from North Face. It's $268 so I'll have to watch for it to go on sale...but when it does I think I'm going to grab it. It's the perfect blend of winter warmth and girlie.

I'm the same way. When it's time for sledding, I'm wearing a sweater coat or borrowing. Always borrowing.
I've been thinking the exact same thing. I'm never quite warm enough, and it's time to sacrifice form for function. I want one like this one you picked, but longer. Like to my ankles. Seems more appropriate for an East Coast winter. :(

Thanks for the tip Amanda. I'm going to see if I can find this coat and try on the small. Rock Creek only has a small black one for the bargain price of $188.
If it fits...I'm going for it!
