DREAMING OF FEBRUARY
Last year it was Kauai. This year we are hitting the Mayan Riviera as part of Nate's pat on the back for doing a good job at work. We are staying at the Fairmont and I expect it will be entirely too decadent. If you have any suggestions for places to visit and things to see, let me know.

If only I was your "go to" girl on this one. Now, if you need advice on Turkey, Greece or Egypt, let me know.
Definitely go to the ruins at Chichen Itza. Amazing-get a guide (someone will probably approach you at the visitor center)to tell you all the history. There are also ruins at Tulum-the ruins themselves aren't as interesting, but they are beautiful and right on a cliff overlooking the ocean-you can take steps down to the beach. Also, try snorkeling in a cenote-kind of an underground cave filled with groundwater. Relax and enjoy!
Check out Isla Mujeres and loaf about and eat fish if you like fish. I agree that Tulum's ruins are underwhelming, but the view from the ruins is worth the jaunt. :) Have fun!
