This is my 12 year old niece Abby. She called me today to ask if I'd pose this survey question on my blog for an assignment she is doing in school. Of course! So I'm hoping you'll participate and leave your answer in the form of a comment. All for the sake of education!
How many bones have you broken in your life?
Just leave a comment that includes your first name and the number. Feel free to answer for spouses and/or children.
Tonia = 10 bones. My parents actually had me tested for brittle bones. Test results came back negative which can only mean one thing. I'm a klutz.
Bone Summary: arm, arm, arm, arm, arm, foot, thumb, wrist, nose, tail bone (I'm sure there are more but I cannot remember.

Roxann - 0.. Thank goodness.
Deidra- zero.
for reals? I have two zeros? hasn't anyone fallen out of a tree? Or crashed on their bike?
Harrison - 1 (but in 3 places)
Michelle 1
Jamie- 2
T=3 I'll take the bike crash. I've snapped my collarbone on two separate occasions. I'm also pretty sure that I broke my wrist once but when I finally got it x-rayed 6 months later, I asked the doctor if it was broken. He looked at me as if I were crazy and said, "Not any more."
B=1 Brandi's are all snowboarding related. As far as she knows, she broke her tailbone once but she was hopped up on so much ibuprofen just so that she could keep snowboarding that she probably broke it twice. Add that to the array of concussions that she's had, all thanks to the same sport, and that number could be even higher.
t.
noelle - 2
catherine = 0
Tegan (4) right collarbone, left collarbone, arm, right collarbone!!
Zero. (knock on wood) However, I had two bones "deliberately" broken during surgery. So does that count?
Tricia - one more for the zereos. My husband has made up for it, he has 12 (5 in the same motorcycle accident). Wait ... he broke one bone, his thumb, twice, does that make it just 11.
I'm knocking on wood as I type this...NONE! I'm petrified to break one now that I'm older and more of a weenie.
Courtney--two bones in my hand from tripping over a hose during a game of hide & seek
Nathan (my husband)--zero
Amanda (my sister)--two--ankle (sliding into 3rd) and arm (hitting our brother in the shin)
Andy (my brother)--zero
Jason (my sister's bf)--one--collar bone during a vicious game of slip & slide @ camp--when he was 18
That's all I can think of--all for the sake of education!
Erin - 0. Which is weird because I am 100% klutz.
Kaili - two - ankle and wrist. Fell off a cliff skiing and broke the wrist in a Bad Religion moshpit...
Claire - 0 (I drink a lot of milk)
Kristin - 3
Right ankle twice: once getting bucked off and then dragged by a horse and the other time I tripped over a 2 inch step in my parents house while running to get the phone (incidentally these two breaks resulted in the end of my dreams of becoming a Ballet West ballerina) and my left wrist: broke it on Christmas Eve. I slipped on some ice while reaching for an icicle...stupid!
Wow, lots of comments!
Cara - 3 Twice on same wrist, one toe
Cameron - 1 arm
Brandon - 2
Kajsa - 0
Husband - 0
Son - 0
Knock on wood!
Jessica- 2, right arm, right collar bone, separate occasions. Also dislocated right shoulder when broke the arm.
Alison--4
So far I have had no broken bones....but now that I had said that....
Anne - 4. In high school I fell off a ladder and landed on my feet, oy. Shattered three bones (metatarsals? the long ones down the middle of the foor) and was on crutches for 2.5 months. Then in college I was on a break visiting my sister and went ice skating and bailed, semi-sorta-cracking a bone in my wrist that you could just barely see in the x-ray, I think I had a removable cast for that one for maybe a month before I just decided to ignore it.
Christy: 2. ankle (age: 3, cause: mystery), pinkie(age: 10, cause: "caught" a kickball with it and got a cast half way up my arm).
None! Zero! Zip! Nothing! Victoria

arm, arm and shoulder. Oddly, every incident was either caused by, or in the presence of my 3 brothers. 3 bones for 3 brothers. that is funny. I punched noses, that was my fortay.
