Nate and I went to dinner a few nights ago with Ryan, one of my friends from work. As we sat in the loft of Porcupine Grille, I noticed a pretty blond girl walk up the stairs wearing skinny dark wash jeans, a t-shirt, and some moccasin boots similar to these I found at Urban Outfitters.
Could I pull this look off? It seemed so simple, funky, and comfortable. I have yet to find skinny jeans made for girls with thighs. Not just thighs, but thighs that hiked Kilimanjaro without batting a lash. Those kind of thighs. If anyone knows of skinny jeans made for Kilimanjaro thighs, please let me in on the secret.

Girl, I guarantee you are WAY cuter than the girl you spotted across the room! And, yes, you could rock these like no one's business. I love the ease of a moccasin boot. While they've been in and out of fashion mags, I think it's just one of those items that will never go away. It's a hippie staple!
As for the jeans, I too have thighs. (Which is why I wear skirts and dresses 99% of the time...I always feel like a sausage in jeans) I think French Connection has jeans and pants cut for normal sized legs. Often I have to go up a size (I think some of their things run small) and then take the waist or length in, but the legs always fit. And their skinny jeans are actually comfortable!
yes, you CAN!
even though I am scared to death of skinny jeans, I've seen your pics and you're HOT, so go with Courtney n this one and rock 'em.
i don't believe i've ever commented here before so I hope i don't freak you out but just had to offer this up to you. i have thighs myself and have loved old navy's 'the diva skinny jeans'. they're super cheap, which is good at first... but does mean they fade rather quickly. I wash mine in cold water and never dry them and they've held their shape pretty well. maybe a little shrinkage in the length in anywhere. sorry for the short story. hope this info is helpful.
I remember when I was 10 and I really, really wanted curvy hips. Mom told me that I really, really didn't want them. Why is she always right?
Thanks for the jeans for thighs suggestions. Sounds like I need to do a little shopping.
I've yet to make the skinny jean, jump. I can't seem to make myself try them on and be disappointed. If you find cute ones let us all know.
You can totally rock the moccasin boot. You're groovy like that.
I saw some of these in a magazine featured on like... 8 different pages. And every time I jumped and though "oh look how cute!" and then noticed they were the tasseled mountain man boots from the first picture. So in spite of all my doubts and logical protestations I can only conclude that they must be cute, because every time I see them I'm instantly drawn to them. And yes. You could pull them off.
I want those boots!
I'm afraid of skinny jeans too!
